The Business of Doing Good:  Boston or Philadelphia Community Partner and Teacher (CPT) The role of the Community Partner and Teacher is to be the face of The Business of Doing Good in Boston or Philadelphia.  This person will do the community outreach, promotion, and representation for this start-up nonprofit. They will liaise with other CPTs and the Founder of the program. Additionally, they will be the Lead Teacher and will present and teach daily activities for a day-camp style program. The CPT shall fully support the mission of our program and possess the ability to engage and inspire kids, parents, and the community as they present our blended-curriculum.  We are looking for an entrepreneurial, kind, and dynamic individual. 


·       Maintain professional demeanor and support mission of The Business of Doing

·       Make connections with schools, parents, and community members to build our program

·       Work with teachers and counselors on our guest attendee nomination program to ensure that as many interested kids are able to attend

·       Visit approx. 10 partner schools, at least three times to build relationships in the spring of 2017 during school hours

·       Maintain great communication with students, parents, local heroes, and business partners

·       Assist and create marketing and promotional efforts to increase attendance

·       Assist and create funding opportunities and promotion for the program

·       Maintain records and data as directed by program directors – attendance, etc

·       Other duties as needed


·       Teach at Philadelphia Program June 26 – July 1, 2017 and approximately 12 events at schools for 1 -2 hourseach - or for Boston based position teachAugust 14 - August 19, 2017 (only)

·       Responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the program and the safety and welfare of the kids, during on-site and off-site activities

·       Create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful, and stimulating environment

·       Organize and manage groups or individual students ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities

·       Assign assistant teachers and interns to appropriate roles throughout the day

·       Lead lesson delivery, presentation, and classroom management

·       Maintain teacher’s professional duties and legal liabilities

·       Encourage and develop curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving skills among students

·       Be flexible regarding changes in curriculum, guest heroes etc.

·       Fluent with social media and technology, including Skype

·       Desirable candidate shall have teaching experience

6 month initial position with strong desire to extend to 2018.  Stipend $1500Begin ASAP
